About

Welcome to Whole In My Heart! My name is Andrea, and I am so glad you ventured here. This is a place to warm your heart with tales of love, tidbits from my old-school recipe box and snapshots that take my breath away.

I’ve been telling other people’s stories for 30 years, and now it’s time to share the ups and downs, joys and sorrows that make my Heart Whole.

My best stories usually start with a bowl of zesty salsa and a basket of tortilla chips, a cool drink and my family and friends around the table. You’ll have to visit often to see how they end.

As for my recipes, they are inspired by my abuelas and 15 years of living in the border town of El Paso, Texas, where the sun shines every day and sets behind the majestic Mount Cristo Rey. One slight exaggeration – my treasured family recipes aren’t in the old wooden recipe box. They are tucked away in my head and will come alive here.

A warning about my pictures: there will be many of my dark and handsome love, who every day reminds me that life is an incredible gift. You’ll get a glimpse of my husband too, and my two handsome sons. These four guys. They fill my Heart with so much love.

Join me here for adventures of the Heart.
